Victorian Trade Card - J.D. Larkin Boraxine - Puppy and Chicks - J. W. Foster & Co., Mantua, Ohio
This is an original Victorian trade card for J. D. Larkin's Boraxine feating a puppy watching a bunch of chicks. The top reads J. D. Larkin & Co. and below the scene is "Boraxine Softens the Hardest Water". It is ©1882 by J.D. Larkin & Co. of Buffalo, New York and printed by Clay & Richmond of the same city.
The back is an advertisement for "Creme - a pure and elegant toilet soap" sold at J. W. Foster & Co., Dry Goods Groceries, Etc. of Mantua, Ohio.
It measures 3 1/4 x 5 inches and is in average condition. The image is still crisp but there's a fair amount of age discoloration to the card. The back has some partially erased pencil writing. Corners have a little wear, too.
Please note that the images include our watermark, you will receive the original trade card, which of course has no watermark. It will be shipped in a stiff mailer for protection.
