Victorian Trade Card - Domestic Sewing Machines - Cemetery of Noisy Machines

This is an original Victorian trade card from the Domestic Sewing Machine Company of New York. It features a tombstone reading "In Memory of Hard Running Noisy..." and a tree with what appear to be Chinese caricatures climbing it. One plays a horn and is captioned "Wind won't get there it takes merit to reach the top" and the one at the top says "It stands at the head." A coffin below the tree reads "Run Out".

The back is blank except for an old, faintly penciled "Aunt Louise".

It measures 2 7/8 x 4 5/8 inches and is in good condition. The colors are bright and printing is crisp. It has a little wear at the right edge and some age discoloration especially noticeable on the back.

Please note that the images include our watermark, you will receive the original trade card, which of course has no watermark. It will be shipped in a stiff mailer for protection.
