Victorian Trade Card - Scottish Scene - Dr. Jaynes patent medicines
This is an original Victorian trade card featuring the picture "O Nannie, Wilt Thou Gang Wi' Me?" described as a "characteristic Scotch picture" showing a couple, with a dog and in the background a metallic gold sky. It's the 7th in a series advertising the tonics, liniments, expectorants, and other patent medicines by Dr. Jaynes.
The back tells about the artwork, and the full range of "cures" provided by Dr. Jaynes to treat colds, inflammation, pleurisy, consumption, whooping cough, croup, and more. It also notes that the card is "Presented by C. H. Ray, Mantua, Portage Co., Ohio".
It measures 3 1/8 x 4 5/8 inches and is in nice condition with light wear. Top and bottom edges have been trimmed a little bit so aren't perfectly straight. The name Millie McIntosh is neatly penciled on the back, too.
Please note that the images include our watermark, you will receive the original trade card, which of course has no watermark. It will be shipped in a stiff mailer for protection.
