This is an original Victorian trade card for Excelsior Clothiers of Cleveland, Ohio. It is captioned "A Life on the Ocean-Wave" and features a pair of rats clinging to a log floating in a lake. Printed in the corner is "Trade with the Excelsior Clothiers" of Cleveland, Ohio.
The back is blank.
It measures 2 1/2 x 4 inches and is in good condition. It has light wear and mild age discoloration.
