Osage Warrior cabinet card
Beautiful image of a young Osage warrior, done by famed photographer George W. Parsons. The warrior is in full regalia, including bone breastplate, silver armbands, silver crosses, neckerchief, silk ribbons, and a single feather headdress. The image is mounted on cardboard reading "G.W. Parsons, Pawhuska, Okla. I.T." Of course, I.T. refers to Indian Territory. This is an original cabinet card, not one of the phony postcards glued to a cabinet card. An excellent image from a known photographer of Indian portraits. There is a small tear along the side of the image.
